Seat How (1608ft/490m). 180° panorama from Skiddaw (left, behind the pine tree) to Grisedale Pike, far right. Helvellyn the peak in the centre distance. The Vale of Keswick, the town and Derwent Water stretched out below. Causey Pike the distinctive hill centre right.

Seat = Saetr = Norse 'summer sheiling' or pasture. How = Norse 'round topped hill'. Seat How is a rocky outcrop on the side of Ullister Hill in the Whinlatter Forest Park. A superb viewpoint, 2.6km from the Whinlatter Centre, easily accessible by forest roads and waymarked paths.
